Detailed information about this stainless steel Heart-shaped artwork
It is a heart-shaped sculpture which stands for love. And it is made from high quality anti-corrosion and high temperature resistant 316L stainless steel with a mirror polished finish and there are 304 stainless steel inside as support structures. Commissioned by Winkler Kozinski Metal Sp. K. company (www.winklermetal.pl), we started making it at the beginning of this year and completed it in April. The client provided the original heart design based on the symbol of Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and we used a hand forging process to fabricate the internal structure as well as the surface panels.
Now, the sculpture was installed at the WOŚP Square, and have a grand unveiling on last Wednesday. Jurek Owsiak, the president of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, attended the unveiling of the heart of the Christmas Charity Band together with the other members of the orchestra. It was also a great attraction for the citizens of Lodz who came to celebrate and take pictures. It is not only a heart-shaped sculpture, but also a symbol of the Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
So far, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is the biggest event in Poland. It is a non-governmental, non-profit, charitable foundation in Poland. It states that its basic aim is "to save the lives and improve the health of patients, especially children, in the field of health care, and to promote health prevention".
